This is a new service for adult patients registered with one of the Andover GP surgeries offering increased support for mental health needs.

We are a GP-led, multi-disciplinary team from a variety of backgrounds able to support your patients’ needs.

We understand that the current COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in increased anxiety, stress and isolation and are able to offer telephone support, counselling and advice at this difficult time.

Referral to our service will free up valuable GP time and support your patients.

Referral can be completed by any member of the practice team, including reception staff.

The team consists of:

  • Lead GPs - Dr Ruth Dyson and Dr Katie Warburton
  • Two part-time Well-being practitioners Katie Dutton and Claire Ford (1 whole time equivalent WTE). They can provide assessment of needs, advice, signposting, counselling and support.
  • A part-time Psychological therapist (0.5WTE) who can offer short-term, focused psychological (Talking) therapies.
  • Support from a psychiatry consultant and an experienced CPN
  • We work closely with the PCN Social Prescribers
  • We also have close links with social care, housing and other voluntary agencies.
